The Civil Engineering course, which was established at the time of the schoolfs foundation, is one of the most traditional courses among schools in Japan. The purpose of Civil Engineering is to build the structures which are indispensable in peoplefs daily lives such as roads, railroads, bridges, tunnels, dams, airports, harbors, and sewers. In this course, students learn subjects such as design, surveying, technology, and execution of engineering projects, with the goal of becoming an engineer who can contribute to the needs of a modern society.
